Good morning everyone! Welcome to the First International \u00a0Beauty Competition \u00a0that will demonstrate the most beautiful underground (metro) of 2012!<\/p>\n
Let’s get to know the contestants: the London <\/b>tube, the metro of Barcelona<\/b>, \u200b\u200bthe \u00a0metropolitana of Milan, <\/b>the Parisian<\/b> metro, the underground of Istanbul<\/b>, the subway of New York<\/b> and the Attiko metro of Athens<\/b>!<\/p>\n
So, let’s take a more detailed look at each one of them:<\/p>\n
I have travelled to all those countries mentioned above and I also got into their subways, each one so different and yet the same! Dark, dirty, most of them without electronic escalators … Maybe because they\u2019re very old, or perhaps the foreign governments are more interested in the outside world and not the underground of their country\u2026 however nothing is like the Greek Metro!<\/p>\n
Maybe we\u2019re considered the \u201cblack sheep\u201d and the \u201cpoor relative\u201d of the European family, we barely care about the surface (see how dirty is the center of Athens) but still our underground is amazing, crystal clear, tidy and warm!<\/p>\n
The Athens Metro is undoubtedly cleaner (the floors are always shiny), the brightest and most illuminated (I wonder how much do we spend on electricity), the most melodic (jazz & rock music are heard from the megaphones) and most of all\u2026 is the friendliest … There is no other underground which lets \u00a0you enter in it even if you don\u2019t validate your ticket, all the other metros menacingly close their doors in your face if you don\u2019t have a ticket \u2026<\/p>\n
What else can we say? I think that Miss Metro 2012 has already been selected\u2026 always with objectivity of course!!<\/p>\n
And the title of the\u2026 Miss Metro 2012 goes to\u2026 Attiko Metro of Athens!<\/p>\n
